YAAAYYY!!!!  I FINALLY have furniture!  

Finally took the standard, "I'm moving to the Bay area" plunge and bought a bike to fit in with the cool kids on the playground.  So far, LOVE it!  30 mile ride (In the rain - OUCH!) yesterday with several club members followed by a raffle drawing.  No rest for the weary ;-)

Viva Peru!!!

I finally took the plunge and made the solo two wk trip.  What an amazing experience.  Many of which were wonderful and also some, well, let's just say memorable ;-)

2 wks traveling up the coastal desert to multiple archaeological sites/temple ruins dating back to 200 AD, to the cloud forest, sacred valley (Machu Picchu) to the jungle and back to Lima to volunteer with the kids at the orphanage.  Couldn't have asked for a more diverse trip and wonderful experience meeting new people including the children.  The orphanage that I volunteered at serves children (24 to be exact) that don't have the means for their parents to support them, so the parents leave them here, some for months, some for many years.  I've published the whole shibang to my Picasa album so you can spend your time weeding through dozens of unnecessary photos.  I hope you enjoy!  The rest of the photos are here. 

Momo's 90th B-day weekend

Who says 90 is old?  Momo is still a spring chicken and the most amazing woman I have ever had the privilege to know and love.  How cute is she!!!???!!!  Wait, is that a drink in her hand?  Yup, it's in the family genes.....see more here

Meredith and Barry's wedding wknd in Napa

Friends of Ted's were kind enough to let me crash their wedding weekend party.  Was a great fun-filled weekend of a full day of wine tours, followed by a wedding day filled with plenty more wine, great food and spa treatments.  If I were to be a professional wedding crasher, well, suffice it to say, this is where it's at!  yeehaw!  Rest of the album here
